Driftwood Mentawai Resort, located at the heart of the "playgrounds" region in the Northern Mentawais, is nestled amongst the palm trees of Pulau Masokut Island – with the Ebay surf less than a minute from your front door.

Our packages include daily surf boats to all of the world-famous waves in the area, transfers to and from Padang, all the meals, snacks & drinks your heart could desire. We pride ourselves in offering the most comprehensive, and luxurious, all-inclusive package in the Mentawai. The resort hosts only 12 guests at a time, and the all-inclusive packages take care of everything you need, making your trip is as joyful and easy as possible!

There are 3 different accommodation options available when staying at Driftwood Mentawai: The Treehouse, The Bungalows, and The Family Villa.

  • The Treehouse has 2 rooms, offering A/C, incredible views, private bathrooms, and unrivaled comfort among the palm trees.
  • The 2 Bungalows offer A/C, private sun decks, private bathrooms, and great jungle views.
  • The Family Villa is a 2 story wonder. This recent construction includes two balconies, huge floor space, A/C throughout, private bathrooms, and enough space for 4 people.

Overview

Most surfers will bring their own boards, but accidents happen when traveling through Indonesia. We have a backup quiver at the resort just in case!

We have anything from 5'8 shortboards to 9'2 longboards. Please reach out to us for specifics and availability because the supply is limited.

 

Overview

Make your friends and family jealous with those ultimate paradise surfing photos and videos. Make sure you select a package for every person who wants their trip eternalized on camera!

We have our talented photographers and videographers at the resort at all times. Oscar Shoots mostly in the water, and Ebi and Didi shoot all of your waves from the boats! In general, they will take photos, videos, and drone shots of everybody during multiple surf sessions. However, If you really don't want to miss out on those paradise shots we recommend booking a Video & Photography Package at the beginning of your trip.

  • 2 nights (Arrival and Departure) at our partner hotel; ZHM Premier, 4 star hotel. Private Room, Queen Bed. (Please contact us for hotel and room upgrades).

  • Transfers to and from the Ferry Harbour in Padang.

  • Extra stops (ATM, surf shop, restaurant).

Driftwood is situated right on the point of Ebay, one of the best lefts in the Mentawais.

Driftwood Mentawaii is a unique place where you feel at home from the first second. The crew is stunning and takes care of you in every way. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The food is delicious, a great mix of local and western dishes. Every day there are several boats that go to different places depending on the level of the guests. Pitstops, E-Bay, and Beng Beng are within easy walking distance, so you can basically surf whenever you want. But there's more than just surfing at this great resort. Sunsets on the yoga platform, beers with the crew, game nights, and great conversation. There are hammocks for naps and snorkeling and spearfishing gear for adventures. I'm convinced, if there is something missing, Oscar, Andy, and the crew will try to make it all happen. I had a very hard time saying goodbye and can‘t wait to go back. - Sourced from Google Reviews

It's an incredible experience to stay at Driftwood Mentawai. The camp is beautiful and there was no other place on the island I would have rather stayed. I liked it so much I extended my trip. Andy did an amazing job at surf forecasting and making sure we were at the best spots for the conditions. I had some of my favorite waves ever on the trip. The whole staff is incredible. The ladies in the kitchen make some of the most delicious food. It tasted just as good on day 1 as it did on day 22. It's fresh, healthy, filling, and quite varied. Tommy the boat captain is a legend and got us where we needed to be every day. If you listen, he'll give some helpful whistles from the boat when it's time to paddle for the horizon. Faber took beautiful pictures of pretty much every wave on the entire trip. Ichel and Ana were wonderful hosts. The beach bungalow I stayed in was bright, clean, and comfortable. When you submit a booking request you will be charged in full, if the host declines the booking of does not accept within 7 days you will be refund in full automatically. If the host accepts your funds will be held on behalf of the host.

You can request a cancelation directly with your host through your booking on your account.

Well that depends on your adventure! We always recommend taking a reusable water bottle, reef safe suncream or zinc along with appropriate clothing for the activities you have planned. If you need to know more please ask our team or your host and we'll try to guide you the best we can.
