The 7-Night Surf & Yoga Package includes daily a la carte breakfast, yoga, meditation, 1 welcome drink, 5 surf lessons, 4 group dinners, and surfboard rental. Yoga

Our 8-day Surf & Yoga Package provides a comprehensive introduction to Hatha Flow & Yin yoga suitable for all levels. Enjoy sessions in our serene jungle-surrounded yoga shala, boosting your energy and balance. Benefit from improved nervous system harmony, body-mind equilibrium, and lymphatic system strength. Please note that yoga is not scheduled on Monday or Thursday afternoons, giving you time for alternative activities like our elephant safari tour or exploring the island.

Morning Hatha Flow Yoga

Begin your day with invigorating Morning Hatha Flow Yoga in our jungle-immersed yoga shala. Led by our expert instructors, these sessions will improve your strength, flexibility, and mental focus. All levels are welcome and no prior experience is required.​

​Afternoon Yin Yoga

Experience soothing outdoor Afternoon Yin Yoga. We'll guide you through deep, floor-level postures held for 2-5 minutes, enhancing flexibility and healing energy. All levels are welcome and no prior experience is required.

​Wellness & Spa

Upon arrival, you can book relaxing spa treatments in our tranquil garden spa. These massages and treatments are not included in your package but can be added as optional extras for an additional charge. After a day of surfing and exploration, treat yourself to these heavenly experiences to unwind and restore balance.

​Surf Lessons & Unlimited SurfBoard Rental

Enjoy Surf lessons in the morning, led by certified instructors. 5 surf lessons are included in your package and extra surf lessons can be booked upon check-in for an extra charge. Included: Complimentary surfboard rentals during specified times only. 

​Evening Activities

Join us for a variety of evening activities during the week, from the Tropical Temptations on Mondays to the Ayurvedic BBQ on Wednesdays, to the Ayurvedic Curry & Rice on Fridays, to the Seafood & Veggie BBQ on Sundays, all created to promote community and guest connections. You'll have the flexibility to participate in any or all of these 4 scheduled group dinner experiences during your stay with us. 

​Udawalawe National Park

Explore Udawalawe National Park, a wildlife enthusiast's dream. Witness elephants, leopards, vibrant birdlife, and more in their natural habitat. Join our elephant safari tours on Monday and Thursday afternoons. This optional activity is not included in the package price but is highly recommended.

 ​Accommodation & Breakfast

Our 7-night packages include either a comfy custom-designed bunk bed with personal amenities like USB charging points, reading light, shelf, and lockable space or a private superior double room. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Enjoy daily à la carte breakfast served at our poolside restaurant including fresh fruit platters, power-boosting avocado & beetroot hummus toast, banana french toast, benedict hoppers, chia & cashew granola, and more. 

​Extras

Of course, you can also book extras such as extra days, surf lessons, massages, treatments, airport transfers, and safari tours in addition to this package after you have arrived. 

​Yoga Schedule & Arrival

To ensure our guests have ample time for rest and rejuvenation, we have deliberately chosen not to schedule any yoga classes on Mondays or on Thursday afternoons. We believe in the importance of allowing for a dedicated day of relaxation, enabling you to unwind and recharge. This intentional break also provides an opportunity for guests to explore the island or partake in our half-day elephant safari tour, all without missing out on any scheduled classes during their stay with us.

​You can join your first afternoon yin yoga class on your arrival day (Excl. Mon & Thurs), typically scheduled between 3 pm - 5 pm. Please note: Any unused yoga classes are non-refundable.

​Sunday Arrivals

Your first yoga class is typically scheduled to begin between 3 pm - 5 pm. If you miss this class, your first yoga session will be on Tuesday morning, as we do not have yoga classes scheduled on Mondays.

Travelling alone has always been something I have been scared of, but this year I was determined to push myself out of my comfort zone and venture out in to the world. My only non negotiables were that it had to be safe, hot and somewhere I could surf. Salty Pelican popped up in my research, and the first review I read was about how, when you travel alone with salty pelican you’re only alone on the flight. And this was exactly my experience. The people I met at salty, were all so different but we had the love of travel that allowed us to grow a very special friendship group, there was always someone to socialise/surf/do yoga with, but the retreat also enabled you peace and time alone if you wanted it. The staff at Salty were extremely welcoming, made you feel at home and like you were part of the salty family. The retreat itself was as beautiful as it was in the photos seen online, and the beds were super comfortable, exactly what you needed after a day of surfing and yoga. The breakfasts the chefs prepared every morning were delicious, with most people’s favourite being the banana French toast. This experience has truly opened my eyes to how amazing travelling alone can be. think this is the best “surf & yoga” camp I’ve ever been to! Yoga retreat might be a better way to describe it. Very much yoga focused, very relaxing vibe, great stuff, great like minded guests so you can easily make friends, super delicious food and drinks! Gorgeous pool area. Monkey tribes and peacocks crawling around while you sunbathe or relax in savasana. When you submit a booking request you will be charged in full, if the host declines the booking of does not accept within 7 days you will be refund in full automatically. If the host accepts your funds will be held on behalf of the host.

You can request a cancelation directly with your host through your booking on your account.

Most venues will provide the equipment needed for your activity - you can find this information in the venue listing.

Well that depends on your adventure! We always recommend taking a reusable water bottle, reef safe suncream or zinc along with appropriate clothing for the activities you have planned. If you need to know more please ask our team or your host and we'll try to guide you the best we can.
