From the tropical paradise, we like to call home, Surf and Yoga Mirissa invites you to release and disconnect from your daily routine. Here you will find lush palm trees, fresh coconuts, and dreamy waves.
We are located in the town of Mirissa, on the south coast of Sri Lanka. Surrounded by a jungle of palm trees and fine sand it forms a stunning crescent beach, making it the perfect getaway for everyone. Some of the main Southern surf spots are just minutes away from your doorstep, a real treat for surfers.
We also propose Yoga lessons/packages in an outdoor environment, as we believe the connection between mind and body is essential. We offer you a soul-enriching experience throughout your stay, where you can discover and grow on both the inside and outside.
We also have an in-house surf shop if you want to buy wax, leashes, pads, or rent surfboards and snorkeling gear. Other activities you can do at the guest house include: playing carom, chess, Uno, omi, or cards; skip the rope; slack-lining; and hula hoop.
We can also organize the following excursions for you:

I came with my travel buddy and we have spent here 2 unforgettable weeks.
Everything has been just perfect; the atmosphere very relaxing and pleasant, super nice pool area in a beautiful rain forest with the company sometimes of playful, but not at all aggressive monkeys, the room we had was big and with all we needed, the food was just amazing, in 14 days never the same menu for dinner, super rich and tasty breakfast and everything super healthy and presented with care and love, I give a 10 +++ to that.
All the personal is also just amazing, everyone always smiling and ready to help us with anything.
The surf instructors… I don’t find the words for describing them, enthusiastic, competent, professional, funny. A special thank you to our personal surf coaches Ale and Puja, but also to Madu for the always wonderful and helpful video analysis and Kusal for the surf theory and pool sessions

I had unforgettable days in Mirissa, the place is magical. First I would like to start with Jay, she welcomed us really nice and explain us the rules. She was well prepaid and could answer all our questions. You can always contact her with what’sup. Every evening their is the family dinner, which is always so delicious and super healthy. The most thinks are vegan sometimes they will ask you and they will use an egg. But the boys from the kitchen are super nice and the food just delicious! The breakfast and brunch as well so yummy!
I’m a totally beginner and I had none experience. Madu my teacher was just the perfect match. He had so much patience and he always repeats the steps to go up. For me because I don’t have so much power in my arms was the first hour really difficult. The second lesson, he repeat again the following steps, so I got some waves and I was really really proud of me. We had a lot of fun in the water, it was just perfect. ❤️
By the way after surfing, you can use in a jungle atmosphere beautiful yoga lesson on top.
If you are looking for a familiar and easy atmosphere, with cool local people, is this the place to be.

I had the most amazing week here, I bought the balance package and the female dorm. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, they really make you feel at home, the accommodation was always so clean and tidy. My surf instructor was Anu, he gave us really helpful tips and techniques to become better at surfing, so grateful for that. The food is really amazing, they cater to all your needs. I loved the yoga schedule and the variety you get to choose from each day. I was lucky to book my trip over the New Year in April and the resort put on games and activities for guests and staff, we had a lot of fun. Highly recommend, I’ll definitely be coming back next year

I had 7 wonderful days here! The surprise dinner menu in the evening was always delicious and the breakfast was also fantastic and the portions very large - just right after surfing. Allergies and dietary requirements could of course be catered for. The adjoining café also has very good coffee.
The surf and yoga lessons were great fun, the yoga classes with Margot were incredible :)
The only suggestion for improvement would be to offer more active yoga classes in the afternoon. These are very focused on relaxation. The pool was a great place to relax and the rooms had everything you needed. If the opportunity arises, I will definitely come back.

When you submit a booking request you will be charged in full, if the host declines the booking of does not accept within 7 days you will be refund in full automatically. If the host accepts your funds will be held on behalf of the host.
You can request a cancelation directly with your host through your booking on your account.

Well that depends on your adventure! We always recommend taking a reusable water bottle, reef safe suncream or zinc along with appropriate clothing for the activities you have planned. If you need to know more please ask our team or your host and we'll try to guide you the best we can.
