Experience the magic of a south african surf trip with pumula surf camp. we are a beach house, with a surf vibe, ready to share the best of the kzn south coast with you! the vibe: the weekend delux package is the perfect surf trip package for anyone looking to enjoy pumula and maximize surfing and chilling time. being a surf house we have a backpacker vibe which means the house is shared, communal style with other guests. there are both private and shared accommodation options available within the surf house. the surf house has plenty of space, an abundance of good vibes, a large sub-tropical garden filled with banana and paw paw trees, a large forest yoga deck, and an access gate to the most magical, semi-private mangrove forest. the beach: our beautiful pumula beach is a short 300m walk from the surf house with no roads to cross, pumula beach is an almost private beach, a hidden gem, with uncrowded waves to suit all levels and styles of surfing - also a great beach for snorkeling and exploring the nivonia shipwreck. the south coast is known for being warm all year round, meaning you will be spending a lot of time outdoors, in the magical garden, and on the beach. if you want to experience the magic of a south african surf adventure and the warm waters of kwazulu natal, this one is for you! the food: we make a variety of delicious and nourishing meals. on weekends we usually have pizza nights and a traditional south african braai. note: we cater to different dietary requirements. please let us know what your dietary requirements are prior to your trip. getting to us: getting to pumula surf camp is easy. there is a shuttle company called “southern shuttles’ which runs daily trips from both king shaka airport and margate airport to pumula. enquire with us for more info on the shuttle service. we are stoked to share the magic of the pumula region with all of you, come join us for fun in the sun and the surf.

If you’re looking for the perfect morocco learn-to-surf holiday then the surf berbere taghazout surf camp is the place for you! the vibe: we have years of experience organising fantastic surf holidays in morocco and our taghazout learn-to-surf package has been created to give you the perfect morocco surf holiday. from start to finish this package has been designed to make your stay with us in taghazout easy, fun, and enjoyable. the package includes all your meals, surf lessons, and accommodation, allowing you to enjoy a hassle-free holiday and focus on getting your surf stoke on. the waves: taghazout has world-class waves for all levels of surfers, including perfect 'learn-to-surf' waves! the learn-to-surf experience is designed for complete beginners and will take you from never having surfed before to standing up and surfing unassisted in just 7 days through daily surf lessons and in-depth surf coaching. the accommodation: the surf berbere surf camp is situated on hash point overlooking the best waves in taghazout bay, centrally located just a short walk from the main shops and restaurants in town. taghazout is blessed with year-round sunshine and amazing waves making it the perfect place for beginners learning to surf and experienced surfers hoping to score barrelling right-hand point breaks. the food: every morning we have a lovely breakfast selection from the cafe between 8-9 am. the breakfast is made up of fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts, freshly baked bread and spreads, and some pancakes (who doesn’t like pancakes, bananas and nutella!). then once we are down at the beach we have simple packed lunches of either salads or sandwiches. each evening we head up to the surf camp roof terrace for a hearty 3-course dinner. each week the menu varies a bit, but generally, there is a mix between traditional moroccan meals such as tajines and couscous and good old-fashioned barbeques and pizzas! if you are vegetarian, vegan, or have any dietary requirements, just let us know when you book in.

Looking to go on a tropical south african surfing adventure? with its warm indian ocean waters and lush tropical atmosphere, the umzumbe region on the south coast of kwazulu natal is one of south africa's lesser-known surfing meccas. the vibe: the umzumbe surf camp surf & yoga adventure is a 4-day experience filled with surfing, yoga, beach walks, volleyball sessions, bonfires, and plenty of good vibes. the package is aimed at beginner-intermediate surfers wanting to take their surfing journey to the next level through surf lessons, surf coaching, and surf-specific yoga classes led by in-house instructors. the surf: umzumbe surf camp is situated directly on the beach, with private and direct beach access from the property. there is a 'house wave' out front called inoras' which produces super fun left and right peaks suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers. a quick 5 minute walk up the beach from our camp is the stiebel rocks point break, a classic south coast right hand point break which can produce long rippable walls with the occasional barrel section. stiebel rocks is surfable on all tides and suitable for beginners - advanced surfers. accommodation: there are a few different accommodation options when staying at umzumbe surf camp. surfhouse dorm rooms: 5-bed shared bunk bed room in the main surf house, shared bathroom. beach view room: private room with a queen bed in the main surf house, shared bathroom. bamboo room: private room with a queen bed in the main surf house, shared bathroom. the banana bungalow: this is a private self-catering unit that sleeps 2-4 people and is separate from the other living areas but shares the property with other guests. the upstairs bedroom can be made as two single separate beds or one king size bed. the downstairs has a pull-out sleeper couch that sleeps 2 children or 1 adult comfortably. the kitchen is fully equipped. the shower is a private outdoor shower. the beach bungalow: this is a private self-catering unit that sleeps 2-5 people and is separate from the other living areas but shares the property with other guests. the upstairs bedroom can be made as two single separate beds or one king size bed. there is a single bed in the same room. the downstairs has a pull-out sleeper couch that sleeps 2 children or 1 adult comfortably. the kitchen is fully equipped. the shower is a private outdoor shower. food & beverage: we are self-catering. there are no food or beverages sold or available on site and there are no stores within walking distance. please bring groceries with you. local food stores close at 7:00 pm. getting to us: getting to umzumbe surf camp is easy. there is a shuttle company called “southern shuttles’ which runs daily trips from both king shaka airport and margate airport to umzumbe. enquire with us for more info on the shuttles the surf & yoga adventure at umzumbe surf camp is a truly incredible way to explore and experience the magic of the kzn south coast and is a big hit with young adventurous travelers.
